Originally a fashion and leather goods house established in the mid 1940's, Mr & Mrs Richard Vipiana opened up their first boutique in Paris in 1945 called "Celine". By 1948, Celine was widely renowned for creating exceptional products, combining style with comfort, so the couple decided to open a second boutique and expand their teams. During the 1960's, Celine became one of the pioneers in the field of ready-to-wear garments, with the "fashion for everyone" trend that revolutionized the era. In the 1970's and 80's, Celine boosted it's international influence by setting up it's sales network in numerous countries.
